Metal Refining Konverter (MRK) is a Refining equipment used for decarburizing high carbon steel to produce stainless steel, low carbon alloy steel and even plain carbon steel of highest quality. Molten Steel deduced from Furnace is filled into ladle & simultaneously into the converter with the assistance of Crane. Before pouring the molten steel, some important parameters like its temperature & chemical composition are examined. Based on this exploration, molten steel is refined by adding essential alloys & fluxes. Inert gases are also gusted into the converter all together. MRK is an improved version of conventional Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD) process for economical steelmaking.
